在今年E3大展上，微软负责Xbox业务的Robbie Bach表示Xbox 360将向后兼容一些最热卖的Xbox游戏，令广大玩家大受鼓舞。不过请注意他说的可不是所有Xbox游戏，而是某些“最热卖的”游戏。
目前，《Halo 1》、《Halo 2》、《Knights of the Old Republic》、《Fable》等Xbox游戏也已经被微软选定将在Xbox 360上出现。离Xbox 360的发售越来越近，而微软内部人员也正深入游戏社区来了解Xbox游戏爱好者们最希望哪些游戏出现在向后兼容性列表上。而现在著名游戏网站1UP制作了一个投票页面，精选出80款微软还为决定向后兼容的Xbox游戏供玩家们投票选择。
当然，1UP无法保证投票选出的一些最受欢迎的游戏都会出现在Xbox 360的向后兼容性列表上，但是可以肯定地是微软会参考这份投票结果。
