在东京电玩展上，最大的缺憾就是没有任何一款PS3游戏能提供试玩。但是，这丝毫没有影响索尼豪情万丈地展示自己阵营的实力，尤其是本土阵营。
索尼宣布有71家发行商为自己开发游戏作品，共计102款游戏。这些作品大部分都是续作或移植，比如Atari的《Alone in the Dark》和《Stuntman and Driver 》系列，育碧的《Brothers in Arms》，SNK的《King of Fighters Maximum Impact3》（PS2版的第二作都要到明年年中才发售）；还有柯纳米的《合金装备4》和下一代《实况足球》，Namco也有一系列尚未宣布名字的打斗、射击、运动和角色扮演游戏正在开发中，其中可能包括Tekken和Tales等；Koei宣布正在制作两个新作品：打斗游戏《Blade Storm: Hundred Years War》和竞速游戏《Fatal Inertia》。
在这次宣布的厂商阵容中，难得看到小厂商的身影，大部分都是资金雄厚的老牌厂商。有个叫Magnolia的小厂商宣布了自己的《Value2000》系列，定价也恰如其名——18美元含税。而且，同时为Xbox360和PS3开发的跨平台作品也比较少见，大概只有Capcom的《生化危机5》和From Software的《Armored Core4》还算知名。
有趣的是，一家叫Hudson的厂商宣布将自己的Rengoku系列由PSP移植至PS3，开创了索尼掌机移植至主机的先河。
